“Having a passion for what you do, and a purpose for what you do. Those two things are probably going to be bigger than anything else in terms of having a healthy life, if we are going to take out the science of things. Really to find what you are passionate about, what your purpose is and going after it.” – Dan Bailey

Dan Bailey is a 5-time CrossFit Games competitor, never finishing outside the top 10 at the Games, finishing 4th at the 2015 CrossFit Games and 7th at the 2016 California Regionals. Dan has a background as a collegiate sprinter at Ohio University where he obtained degrees in Education and Strength and Conditioning. In this episode I catch up with Dan who most recently moved back to Columbus, Ohio from San Diego, and is currently training for the 2017 CrossFit Games Season.

In this episode we discuss:

  • Leaving San Diego for Ohio and training at Rogue Fitness in Columbus
  • Selling his boat completing the 1,000 mile challenge on his motorcycle
  • Dan’s typical day and current training regimen
  • His approach to nutrition now, and goals for the future
  • The Good Dudes Inc.
  • Danny BroFlex – how it all started and his experience filming season 2
  • Three things Dan does on a regular basis that have the biggest positive impact on his health
  • One thing he struggles to implement that could have a big impact on his health
  • What a healthy life looks like to him
